With a Federal Election coming up for Canadians sometime in the next eight months, there is a lot to consider. The way things have gone in the United States (and elsewhere) is concerning, and it would be against the interests of pultimily.ca to have that happen here. Getting involved, actively participating and organizing, is simple in theory but difficult in practice. What role could this website possibly take?

There is journalism, advocacy, education, lobbying, polling, and commentary, to name a few. But pultimily.ca is not set up for any of them, except maybe education and/or commentary.

For those wondering what candidate in their riding to vote for if they want to avoid winding up with a Prime MInister with ties to fascist regimes, the website smartvoting.ca is a good tool (when the election is officially underway).

Researching the political spectrum, or ideology measures, led to the creation of this quiz, though it is far from perfect.

The creation of a social media or content creation platform that doesn't contribute to the likes of Mark Zuckerburg, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Google, or Microsoft could be an option, but beyond the capabilities of pultimily.ca at this time.

It is likely too late for this election, but maybe pultimily.ca could be behind a new political party, the Electoral Reform Party, with the goal of changing how seats in Parliament are awarded (and maybe how the Prime Minister is determined). Once the change takes effect, Parliament is dissolved, the Electoral Reform Party is dissolved, and an election is held (that allows voting for a local representative without worrying about which party leader will be Prime Minister, and will likely never lead to a majority government again).
